You may create a list of ‘user categories’ and assign horse owners in your database to categories. This is usually done to support marketing activities, the Mail Merge function in Ardex allows for sending of custom e-mail or print communications to all owners in a selected ‘User Category’.

Click New at top right to create a new category.

To assign an owner to a category, go to Main > People & Firms then double click the owner, select the ‘Categories’ tab at left, and tick any relevant category on screen.

Tip: In some Ardex databases there is a pre-set User Category ‘Do Not Charge’. If you tick a horse owner for inclusion in this category, then horses fully owned by that person won’t be charged for anything. Be very careful when assigning users to this special user category, due to the potential for revenue loss.
